Where the material comes from
Three fabrics carry most of the collection. Here is what each one does and why we chose it.
100% Organic Cotton (280 GSM)
Soft structure. Breathable. Built for everyday wear.
Long-staple organic cotton, knitted at 280 grams per square metre — roughly twice a standard tee. It stands away from the body instead of clinging, which is the whole point.
14.5 oz Japanese Selvedge
Shuttle-loomed. Unsanforized. Fades where you bend.
Woven slowly on narrow shuttle looms, which leaves the self-finished edge you can see at the outseam. Unsanforized means it has not been pre-shrunk, so it moulds to you rather than the other way round.
European Flax Linen (165 GSM)
Open weave. Cools by evaporation, not by being thin.
Flax grown within 200 km of the mill and retted in the field. Linen wrinkles because the fibre is stiff — that stiffness is also why it lets air through.
